It is Official

It is official, I am now a Soldier of the Salvation Army. I will make this posting very quick as it has been a tiring but very meaningful day for me. Down below is just two of the hundreds of photos and videos that were taken during the service. They will appear in the magazine for Salvationists and on the Salvation Army Facebook page and also the Major's Facebook page. Thank you to everybody for your good wishes and backing in my long journey.

You left a comment on my blog to say you'd bought thermal vests this year - well, I bought thermal vests AND long-johns about 10 years ago (cheap from a stall on Hoddesdon Market!) and they are a Godsend! I don't care that they are inelegant or that my daughter turns up her nose at them, they keep me toasty-warm and that's what matters!

Brr! It's cold tonight! Winter's on its way!
