Morning folks.  I had a surprise when I opened my blog this morning.  I had been given this lovely award by the lovely Amy of RED HEADED CRAFTER.  Thank you sweetie for this honour.

Here are my 7 things:

1) I love to put lace/ribbons and flowers on all my cards if the theme allows. I need to learn how to make a good flower arrangement though!!!

2) I hate travelling by train, especially on the underground, this throws me into panic.

3) I am an only child.

4) I love swimming (Well doggy puddle) Lol!!!

5) I was 60!! in January.

6) I use to belong to the Salvation Army in my younger years.

7) I love to meet up with friends at the craft fairs.

2012 Jenny's 60th Birthday Card

Afternoon peeps.  My card today has been my nightmare for the past few weeks.  A lady in our apartment block asked me to make her Daughter's 60th Birthday card.  Yes of course said Cathy, what is her likes?  Butterflies/Flowers/Vintage?  No she says, she isn't feminine at all and her life revolves around the local football team who she works for, tennis that she watches, badminton that she plays and scrabble.  She also wanted two of these on the same card!!!  HELP!!!  She only listed the other interests when I looked dismayed at the football suggestion.   My worry was that I couldn't make it look special for a special birthday.  I hope I have succeeded.

The digi images are "Tennis" from Kenny K and "Football Holly" from Digi Stamp Boutique.  Both have been coloured using Promarkers.  The bp's are freebies from Free Craft Downloads.  Ribbon and Lace are from my stash.  Football shield from Google.  Tennis Racquet and Ball from Sweet Pea Pollys Craft Things.  Sentiment is Computer generated.

Hope she likes this, I am so worried about it.  I will be making a box for it but will not make that until she approves the card.

Digi Doodle Shop Challenges#99 DT Card

Morning Peeps.  It is Thursday, so that must mean it is time for another super duper Challenge over at  DIGI DOODLE SHOP CHALLENGES.  The image I have used this week is the adorable "Beach Babes". This can be found in THE SHOP  by going Shop by Type -  People Section - Children and Babies.  The colouring medium is Promarkers.  I have used two different dp's, "Tiny Wonder" item#311 Little Sprout Michelle Coleman Fancy Pants Design and "Whimsy Scallop's" item#ST11007 Springtime Echo Park Paper Company.  The sentiment tickets are from Crafty Ann.  The Flip Flops are by Dress it Up - Button Fun - 2288. The flower brad is by K and Company Code:545328.  The clock face is "Weathered Clock" - Tim Holtz Alterations BigZ Sizzix die - 657190.

Creative Card Crew Challenge#6 DT Card

Morning peeps.  The day has arrived and I can shout it from the roof tops.  This is my first DT card with CREATIVE CARD CREW.  The girls have given me a lovely welcome but I am still so nervous.  The Challenge is just about to start.  This fortnights Challenge is "Vintage"

My 8 x 8 DT Card

Today I have used a very neglected stamp from my stamp box " Dragonfly Collage" #4509 Hampton Art Stamps.  It has been stamped with a tinted emboss ink pad - embossed with Copper embossing powder from Ranger.  The dp is "The Mariposa Stack" 8 x 8 sheets by DCWV PS-006-00056 it has been glittered but I don't think it shows in the photograph.  The Doily has been cut using "DL101 English Tea Party" die by Cheery Lynn Designs, I have coloured it with a Promarker.  The ribbon roses are by Creative Expressions.

Karen's Doodles Challenge#100 DT Card

Morning peeps.  It is time again for another Challenge to start over at KAREN'S DOODLES CHALLENGE BLOG.  This week our challenge is "Something Special"  Well I think my friend's 60th Birthday is something special.

I have used is TROPICAL ROSIE SET .  I have wanted to use this image for a very long time.  The colouring medium is Promarkers and Sakura Glitter pens.  The dp's are "Delightful Stripe - Springtime" item# ST11008 Echo Park Paper.  The flower is from my stash.  The glitter sun glasses are from Dress it Up item#4429.  The 60 was cut using a Cuttlebug Alphabet die.

Gus Golf

Morning peeps.  This is my second post of the day, the first one was scheduled.  I was out early this morning to post a card off to my ex disability swimming tutor, as it was large and raised I thought I had better get it checked.  She is soon to go into hospital for a heart operation and is so scared bless her.  She is 80 years old so it does make it even my scary and she is asthmatic which does again make it frightening.   This is not the card I sent her by the way.  Lol!!!

The great digi image I have used for this card is "Gus Golf", the sentiment is from the same package by Bugaboo.  The colouring medium is Promarkers.  The glasses and golf ball I have used Glossy Accents.  The golf tee and ball on the side I have cut using the die "Hole in One" S4-026 by Spellbinders.  The dp's are  "Complete Boy" item#TBB001 My Minds Eye.
