3 Birthday Cards/1 Valentine

Good afternoon, the sun has been out today but boy was it cold. I got up at the crack of dawn to have a fasting blood test today, I was there at 7.40 am at the hospital. They don't start doing them until 8.30 but if you are not there to get your number early you have hoards in front of you. My breakfast tasted lovely this morning after going without anything.

We booked a second day trip yesterday over the internet for when we go to Malta in May, so doing this makes it seem nearer.

The image-bp and insert for this Valentine's card has been taken from "Popcorn the Bear - Romance" CDROM by Crafter's Companion. The image is a Twisted Pyramage. The cardstock and peel off are from my stash.

This Tractor card is one of three cards I have made for a customer to choose from for a male birthday. I was told he likes Tractors, Cats especially black & white ones. The image is from Google and it has been put through 3D Decoupage 2 Card Builder from Card Creations Plus to Pyramage it. The bp is from "Animal Antics" CDROM by Joanna Sheen. Both the bp and image have been printed onto Satin Photo Paper and mat and layered on silver mirri card. Greeting banner is from my stash. The main card is "Stardream" from Joanna Sheen.

This is the second card for the customer to choose from. The cat is actually one of my past babies that sadly is no longer with us and is sadly missed. He's name was Jon Jon. He was named this as at the cat home they called him John Wayne because he had been in a car accident and his legs looked like he had just got off of his horse!!!! I digress, sorry. The image has been printed onto Satin Photographic Paper. It has been mat and layered on silver mirri card cut with Spellbinders Nesties. Petite Circles Scalloped S4 115. The card is a Silver Scroll card with envelope and is from QVC item no 587997QZOO. The greeting is a peel off from my stash.

Outside of card.

Inside of card, which Blogger has once again turned the wrong way.
This A5 Gatefold card is the third card for the customer to choose from. I have used the Jayne Netley Mayhew Collection CDROM. I have used disc 2 of the 2 disc set. Both the bp's and image are from this super CDROM by Joanna Sheen. The image and bp's have been mat and layered on gold mirri card. Peel off is from my stash.
Thank you for looking once again today.

2 House Mouse Decoupage + 3 Others.

Afternoon folks on this very deary wet day. A bit warmer but grim. I am getting so excited as we have booked up to go to Malta in May for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I can not wait!!!

My first card today is for a neighbours 90th Birthday in February. Bless him he seems to have aged this past year and is getting very frustrated that he can not do things. Up until then he was very good at getting about. He keeps falling over now and is very forgetful and complains that he can not ride his bike anymore!!!!

For his card I have used Joanna Sheen's CDROM "The Royal Horticultural Society Collection" Both the image and bp are from it. Both have been mat and layered onto gold mirri card. The 90 and Happy Birthday are a peel off.

For this card I have taken both bp's from Joanna Sheen's CDROM "The Cardmaker's Year". The House Mouse Decoupage sheets are also from Joanna. This sheet is from "Housemouse Two - Home & Garden. The punch used is Martha Stewart's "Valentine Lace" edger punch.

This card is the same details except I have used one layer less of decoupage and matted it onto a Spellbinders Heart Nestie. The message is a peel off. This one has been made for my Step Daughters 10th Wedding Anniversary.

This card and the one below have been made for a customer. The instructions were it was for a male who will be 21 but she wanted it as plain and simple as possible and also wanted the insert left blank!!! I have made her two for her to choose from. This one has the car image from Google printed on to satin photo paper. Main card is red Stardream card. It is mounted onto black satin card, the letters have also been cut from the same card. The card was bought from Joanna Sheen and the letters were cut on my Cuttlebug with a Cuttlebug Alphabet die.

This is the second card made for her to choose from. Again the image is from Google. Main card is blue Stardream card bought from Joanna Sheen. This time the image has been mat & layered onto silver mirri card, the letters have been cut from the same. Again I have used my Cuttlebug to cut the letters.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope the weather is better with you.

Crafty Ann's Challenge #6 - Embossing

I can't believe that it is Challenge #6 at Crafty Anns Challenge blog. Where has the time gone? This time it is Embossing, it can be either dry or heat or even both if you want. It can also be for any occassion. As usual the prize is for two digi stamps and one backing paper of choice for the lucky winner. This challenge run until 6pm Thursday 28th January. Details how to enter can be found here

Before I give the details of my card I wish to say to Wendy who sadly lost her Dad and Chrissie who lost her Mum that I was sorry to hear your news and I am thinking of you both.

The main card is white. For the topper background card I have sprayed a white tree bark finish card with Cosmic Shimmer - Cosmic Mists. Purple Violet - Midnight Blue and Peacock Green. The Swirls stamped are from Creative Expressions U- Mount. The swirls have been stamped in black archival ink and holographic embossing powder has been used to give it a lovely glittered effect which sadly doesn't show in the photo. The background is also lovely but again the photo doesn't do it justice. The butterfly and flowers were borrowed stamps from a friend so I do not know the name of them I am afraid. They have been embossed with Silver Detail embossing powder and mounted with Pinflair glue to raise them on the card.

Thank you once again Ann for setting these challenges.

Two Joanna Sheen Cards

Morning lovely people. The weather here today is lovely. Still a bit cold but alot warmer than it has been. Snow has disappeared and the sun is out!!! My first card has gone round the other way again. Blogger seems to be doing that with at least one of my postings every week now.

This first card is made using the "Messy Rabbit" stamp plate from Joanna Sheen. This one is DIY Rabbit MR148. The image has been matted using Nesties from Spellbinders and the colouring medium is Promarkers. The tool images have been stamped twice and decoupaged. The bp is from my stash. This second card I made with a heavy heart for a dear friend who has lost her Mum this week. I used Joanna Sheen's CDROM "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady". Both the image and bp are from this super 2 disc set. This has been produced using disc 2 and is from the winter section. The bp and image have been mat and layered on green and ivory card. The sentiment is a peel off. The insert not photographed is also from the disc and the image is to match.
I hope everyone is well. OH and I have both been feeling abit off this week. Apparently there is a tummy bug going around the country, so I hope it has missed you or if you have been caught you are feeling better.
Thank you for looking at my blog today.

The snow here is melting slowly, it is a shame because my craft club has been cancelled by the organizer tonight and so has my disabled swimming class for tomorrow. They made their decision at the weekend when it was really bad but the decision had to be made at some point to let everyone know. I hope the weather is getting better where you are.
