Two Cute Companions Stamp Cards

This is the first time I have used any of the stamps from this range. They are made by Crafters Companions and are designed by Jayne Nestorenko who is a lovely lady. The first one is from the Wonderful News stamp set and the other one is Especially for You. Both cards I have used my Cuttlebug machine and embossing folder and cutting dies to do the background. I have used a mixture of Lyra Aquacolor water colour crayons and Twinkling H20's to colour the images.

Four TeaBag Folding Cards.

I went to my Craft Club the other day and the subject came up about Teabag Folding. The girls in the club had heard of it but had never tried it so I proceeded to show them the little bit that I know, there is hundreds of different folds. It is very relaxing and you can forget all your troubles. It started off in Holland. Some people say it was with the Secretaries thinking it was a waste of the pretty little bags that the teabags were wrapped in so started folding them to make the patterns. Other people say it was bored housewives. But all agree it was Holland where it all started.

La Pashe Decoupage

Hi you haven't got rid of me today yet. Not posted for ages but my photographer has taken time out to do my photo's today so I have gone mad in uploading. These two cards are from The Remember When series and are made by La Pashe, they make them in sepia and coloured. They never cease to make me smile. I hope the brighten your day as well.

They come in a set of 12, 24 which I have and now in a set of 48 which of course I MUST HAVE!!!!!!.

Daughter's Crossstitch Card.

Our clever daughter sent this lovely Crossstitch card to us this Christmas. She has just started doing Crossstitch and this is her first Christmas card. She has become very interested in doing lots of different Arts and Crafts as well as cooking since moving to France where her and her husband have settled in very well. She was always interested in art and produced some lovely pictures but has extended her interests. I am very proud of her she has done well for herself.

Hubby and Daddy Christmas cards

Hi Folks, I am sorry not to have been around for so long. I have tried to keep abreast of other peoples blogs but haven't done much with my own. I think I am finally ready for Christmas. These two cards I have added to my blog were made for my husband from me and the other one from his baby(D'Arcy our cat). They couldn't be added before as one he is the photographer and two he is one of the few husbands that looks at his wife's blog. The one from me was made using the Pamela West collection CDROM from Joanna Sheen. The one from D'Arcy was made using the Enchanted Christmas CDROM from Joanna Sheen. I hope you all have a great Christmas and I wish you a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

The Proximidade Award!!!!

On the 24th November I was honoured to be given a Proximidade award by Ann, unfortunately I have not been into the blogs lately due to being so busy and I have only just had time to catch up on all the lovely blogs that are about.

The award has such a great sentiment behind it and here is what it says:This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind blogger’s aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight blogger’s who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award. The ladies I would like to pass this on to in my turn are (in no particluar order)

Beryl
Do
Chrissie
Lavender
Wendy
Louly
Jane
Rita

All of these lovely ladies richly deserve this award.

Messy Rabbit Hopping Happy

This card has been made with A4 burgundy red pearl card as main card. Silver Mirri card for the matting and layering. The background paper is once again from the Joanna Sheen "Messy Rabbit "pad. Two sheets used, one for the background and one for the decoupage layer. The stamp used is Messy Rabbit Hopping Happy MR112. The rabbit has been stamped twice, once for the main layer and the second for the decoupage layer. It has been water coloured.

Messy Rabbit - Baggy Jumper

This card has been made with A4 pale blue card as main card - red card for the matting and layering. The background paper is from the Joanna Sheen "Messy Rabbit pad" which contains 40 sheets of assorted designs. A second sheet was used and cut to decoupage. The Rabbit was stamped twice, once for the main design and once for the decoupage layer. Using Messy Rabbit Baggy Jumper MR110. Then it was water coloured. The large house was stamped once using the Baggy Jumper Extra Bits MR11, again water coloured and the roof eves coloured in with

Glistening Snow Writer to make it look frosty. The lights were coloured in with Sakura glitter pens.

Fold Over Card

Backing paper and toppers are printed off of Joanna Sheen's CD-ROM Victorian Christmas. These were mounted on to gold Mirri card - burgundy red card used for the main card. The card was made by using 2 A4 sheets of card - or if you have tri fold A5 cards then you can use those.

Firstly I scored the one sheet of A4 card in half - this would be the half A4 score line - then take the second piece of card and score at the A4 gatefold line - and then again 2cm`s on from that to make a tab and then cut off the excess card at this point.Take the smaller of the 2 pieces place double sided tape on the top side of the tab - this will then be placed under the larger piece of card so you can`t see the join - this gives you the base of the card.

If you have A5 card with 3 panels then you can do this fold with joining the card - just take the last or first A5 panel and score it in half - what would be A4 gatefold line - this will give you the shape for the base of your card.
